Ein Tiger Sport 800 erledigt für denselben Besitzer meist zwei Aufgaben. Unter der Woche ist es ein Transportmittel – kurze Strecken, Staus, zweimal täglich dieselbe verschmutzte Stadtluft – und am Wochenende eine Reisemaschine mit Scheibe und Gepäck. Diese beiden Aufgaben stellen gegensätzliche Anforderungen an einen Luftfilter. Pendeln verlangt Rückhaltung, weil dort die Konzentration am schlimmsten ist. Touren verlangt Durchfluss, weil dort der Motor tatsächlich Zeit damit verbringt, ihn einzufordern. Der SM301T12 beantwortet die erste Aufgabe ohne Kompromisse: ein trockenes Polyester-Vlies mit 7 µm, das 560 l/m²/sek durchlässt. Die Wahl ist daher weniger eine Entscheidung über das Motorrad als darüber, für welche Jahreshälfte Sie es ausrüsten.

Denken Sie an die Wochen, die die schlechteste Luft durch die Ansaugung schicken: zwei Wochen Straßenbelagserneuerung auf dem Arbeitsweg, ein Schotterweg zu einem Campingplatz im Schritttempo im eigenen Staub, tagelang über einem Tal hängender Erntestaub. Nichts davon ist ein Geländeproblem, sodass keine Bodenfreiheit der Welt es löst. Es ist ein Luftproblem, und 7 µm ist die Antwort, die dieser Katalog darauf gibt. Wenn Ihre Fahrten meist auf sauberem Asphalt stattfinden, ist das Standardelement das richtige Teil – und dieses nicht.
Die Jahreshälfte, die es Sie kostet
Die andere Seite muss ebenso deutlich gesagt werden. Eine feinere Struktur hält mehr zurück und lässt weniger durch; die beiden bewegen sich immer gemeinsam, und kein Medium im Sortiment entkommt dem. Das ist ein Kompromiss, keine Rangliste. Es bedeutet auch, dass der T12 auf jedem Kilometer sauberer Autobahn, den Sie mit ihm fahren, echte Kosten trägt. Was er nicht tun wird, ist das, was kein Einsteck-Element tut: eine Serien-Tiger-Sport-800 spürbar stärker machen. Der Gewinn ist ein Widerstand, der zwischen den Wartungen vorhersehbar bleibt, und ein Teil, das gereinigt statt ersetzt wird.
Pflege und Reinigung
Die Routine für den SM301T12 ist Druckluft an der sauberen Seite, nach außen gerichtet, sodass der Staub durch die Fläche austritt, die er betreten hat. Hat eine Fahrt es wirklich stark beladen, waschen Sie es in lauwarmem Wasser mit einem milden Reinigungsmittel, spülen Sie, bis das Wasser klar bleibt, und lassen Sie es an offener Luft trocknen. Passgenauigkeit & Kompatibilität
