Wenn ein Katalog zwei Versionen eines Teils anbietet, wenden viele eine einfache Regel an: Das teurere muss besser schützen. Bei diesem Ducati-Luftfilterkasten zeigt die Regel in die falsche Richtung. Die feinere der beiden Straßenspezifikationen — dieses 14-Mikron-Vlies — ist die günstigere der beiden, gelistet zu etwa drei Vierteln des Preises des Standard-80-Mikron-Gewebeelements. Diese Reihenfolge ist kein Urteil über eines der beiden Elemente. Der Preis folgt Material und Herstellungsverfahren, und ein Vlies und ein Gewebe entstehen auf unterschiedliche Weise.

Die Rangfolge ohne den Preis gelesen
Nimmt man den Preis aus dem Vergleich heraus, sprechen die beiden Elemente nur noch über ihre Datenblätter. Das Standardelement ist mit 80 Mikron und 5.050 Litern pro Quadratmeter und Sekunde spezifiziert. Dieses hier mit 14 Mikron und 1.800. Kein Wert macht das eine besser als das andere; zusammen beschreiben sie einen einzigen Tausch, und jedes Ende davon gehört zu einer anderen Straße. Eine Streetfighter V2, die auf sauberen, befestigten Straßen lebt, spürt zuerst die reduzierte Durchflussmenge und gewinnt dabei wenig. Dieselbe Maschine auf trockenen Feldwegen im Spätsommer steht auf der anderen Seite dieses Tauschs.
Was gekauft wird, unverblümt gesagt
Keine Leistung. Ein Element, das in einen unveränderten Luftfilterkasten eingesetzt wird, macht eine Serien-Streetfighter-V2 nicht spürbar stärker, und dieses hier gibt etwa zwei Drittel der Standard-Durchflussleistung auf, im Tausch gegen das, was es zurückhält. Der Gewinn zeigt sich in zwei anderen Währungen. Die eine ist Stabilität: ein Ansaugwiderstand, der über ein Intervall weniger driftet als bei einem sich zusetzenden Papierelement. Die andere ist, dass das Teil aufhört, ein Verschleißteil zu sein — gewaschen und wiedereingebaut statt neu gekauft.
Pflege und Reinigung
Die Wartung kostet Zeit und Druckluft. Halten Sie die Pistole an die saubere Seite und treiben Sie den Staub aus den Fasern zurück; bei einem trockenen Medium ist das die gesamte Routine. Ist die Ablagerung klebrig geworden, lösen handwarmes Wasser und ein mildes Reinigungsmittel sie, danach spülen, bis nichts mehr austritt. Getrocknet wird in bewegter Luft bei Raumtemperatur, niemals mit Hitze und niemals über einer Flamme, und der PM279P14 wird trocken und unbehandelt wiedereingebaut. Gelistet für die Ducati Streetfighter V2 der Baujahre 2025 und 2026 mit dem 890-cm³-V2-Motor. Dasselbe Element deckt drei weitere Motorräder ab: die Hypermotard V2 2026, die Monster V2 2026 und die Panigale V2 2025–2026, vier Modelle insgesamt.
