Four motorcycles have carried the name Hypermotard through this Ducati listing, and they do not share a part number. The 821 of 2013 to 2015 sits in the same housing as this one but is catalogued for the standard panel only. The 939 and this 950 share an element. The 890 cc Hypermotard V2 of 2026 is a different machine on a different airbox with a code of its own. The badge on the flank is therefore not an order; the code and the year of build are, and getting that wrong buys a panel that will not go in.
Key Features
- Dry nonwoven rated at 14 microns, covering the 950 and the 950 SP without distinction
- Rated flow of 1,800 litres per square metre per second; 5,050 for the woven standard
- Close to twice the filtering surface of a normal performance filter
- A straight swap for the factory panel: one element, unmodified airbox, no adaptor, no remap
- Used dry and never oiled, keeping the intake sensors out of the equation
- Cleaned and reused for the life of the motorcycle, with two years of warranty from purchase
Seven model years, one element
950, and 950 SP: the difference between them is suspension, wheels and finish, and none of it reaches the intake. That is why one part number spans 2019 to 2025 without a break, and why an owner does not need to know which running change their frame number falls after. It is a useful property of a lifetime item. Bought in the first year of the run it is still the correct part in the last, and a bike sold on takes a known, resettable element with it rather than a paper panel of unknown age.
The trade this grade makes
Fourteen microns hold back a finer fraction of what the air carries than an 80-micron weave was ever meant to, and the payment is immediate and permanent: 1,800 litres per square metre per second against 5,050, roughly a third of the standard rating. That is a swap, not a promotion. A supermoto on clean asphalt is better served by the woven panel; one meeting dry unsealed lanes or a summer of unswept back roads is the case this grade was drawn for. In neither case does it add power — a standard 950 stays a standard 950.
Care and cleaning
Servicing means compressed air from the clean side, worked outward until the load lets go. Greasy build-up comes away with lukewarm water and a mild detergent, followed by a rinse until the water is clear. Drying happens in room-temperature air on the move; heat of any sort ruins the material, so no gun and no flame. The CM61P14 is refitted dry and untreated, and it has never wanted oil at any stage of its life. Sprint Filter's maintenance sheet is in the Downloads tab.
Fitment & Compatibility
Made for the Ducati Hypermotard 950 and 950 SP of 2019 to 2025. This code covers three further machines — the Hypermotard 939 of 2016–2018, the Scrambler 800 of 2015–2023 and the Monster 1200 25° Anniversario of 2019 — four entries in total. The 821 of 2013–2015 shares the housing but is catalogued for the standard panel; the 890 cc Hypermotard V2 of 2026 shares neither housing nor code and takes PM279P14 instead.
