Die Grenze zwischen einer CB250R und einer CB300R wird größtenteils durch Papierkram gezogen. In mehreren Märkten liegt ein 250er auf der richtigen Seite einer Führerschein-, Steuer- oder Prüfschwelle, an der ein etwas größerer Motor scheitert, und das ist Grund genug, beide zu bauen. Die Ansaugseite nimmt davon keine Notiz. Alle vier Neo-Sports-Cafe-Einzylinder, vom 125er bis zum 300er, atmen durch denselben Luftfilterkasten und verwenden denselben Luftfilter, weil ein Luftfilterkasten um eine Form und ein Volumen herum entworfen wird, nicht um eine Vorschrift. Sprint Filter katalogisiert den P08 auf dieselbe Weise, nach Luftfilterkasten statt nach Modellbezeichnung, weshalb SM219S die Antwort für eine Maschine ist, deren Name sich an Landesgrenzen ändert.

Besitzer der 150er und der 250er stoßen auf ein Auflistungsproblem, das Besitzer eines europäischen Bestsellers nie haben: Sucht man einen Teilekatalog nach Modellnamen ab, verhält sich die Hälfte davon so, als gäbe es das Bike gar nicht. Die Teilenummer ist der verlässliche Index. Ein Element, vier Maschinen, Modelljahre 2018 bis 2026, und eine Fitment-Liste, der es egal ist, aus welchem Markt die Rahmennummer stammt. Diese Gemeinsamkeit ist auch der Grund, warum das Teil verfügbar bleibt. Bauteile, die an eine einzige Variante in einem einzigen Land gebunden sind, sind die, die als Erste still aus dem Bestand verschwinden.
Was das Element dort tatsächlich leistet
Der P08 ist eine einzige Lage trockenes Polyester, gewebt aus Fäden ab ø 22 Mikron, mit einer Filterung bei 80 Mikron und einem Luftdurchfluss von 5.050 l/m²/sek. In Sprint Filters Vergleichsmessungen hält er 93,13 Prozent der 100-Mikron-Partikel zurück, gegenüber 76,42 Prozent bei einem vierlagigen geölten Baumwollelement. Man sollte ehrlich dazu sagen, was das bringt: Der Einbau macht ein straßenbewegtes Serienmotorrad nicht messbar schneller. Er sorgt für eine niedrigere Ansaugdrosselung, die über das Wartungsintervall hinweg stabil bleibt statt langsam zu steigen, und für ein Teil, das gereinigt statt ersetzt wird.
Pflege und Reinigung
Beginnen Sie mit Druckluft, angesetzt auf der sauberen Seite und nach außen geblasen. Wenn die Saison ihm zugesetzt hat, folgt lauwarmes Wasser mit einem milden Reinigungsmittel, gespült, bis das Wasser klar bleibt. Die Trocknung erfolgt an der Luft und dauert, so lange sie dauert; Hitze und Flamme kommen beide nicht infrage. Der SM219S wird trocken wieder eingebaut, ohne dass irgendwo im Ablauf ein Ölschritt vorkommt. Das Sprint-Filter-Wartungsblatt finden Sie im Reiter „Downloads".
Passform & Kompatibilität
Gefertigt für die Honda CB250R der Baujahre 2018 bis 2026. Dasselbe SM219S-Element passt außerdem in die CB125R, CB150R und CB300R über dieselben Baujahre, vier Maschinen insgesamt. Die vollständige Liste finden Sie im Reiter „Fitment".
