Die Aprilia RS 457 entfaltet ihre Leistung in einem schmalen, drehzahlintensiven Band – genau deshalb spielt der Luftfilter eine größere Rolle, als der Preis vermuten lässt. Der Sprint Filter P08 PM252S ersetzt das serienmäßige Papierelement durch ein trockenes Polyestermedium, das von der ersten Fahrt an freier durchströmt wird und diese Durchlässigkeit behält, weil Sie es waschen statt ersetzen. Sprint Filter beliefert Aprilia Racing in der World Superbike und der MotoGP bereits seit 2015 – der P08 ist die straßentaugliche Ausprägung dieser Arbeit.
Wichtige Merkmale

Warum sich das Polyestermedium anders verhält
Ein Luftfilter hat zwei Aufgaben, die einander entgegenwirken: so viel Luft wie möglich durchzulassen und gleichzeitig das zurückzuhalten, was dem Motor schaden würde. Baumwollgewebe und Schaumstoff lösen das durch gestapelte Lagen, wodurch der Durchfluss an manchen Stellen schwach und die Filterwirkung an anderen unzureichend ist – je nachdem, wie die Lagen gerade liegen. Das Polyestergewebe von Sprint Filter ist durchlässig, formstabil und unbeeinflusst von der Faltung, mit der das Element gebaut wird, sodass der Durchsatz über die gesamte Fläche gleichmäßig bleibt. Das Original-Papierelement verhält sich mit der Zeit genau umgekehrt: Während es sich mit Schmutz zusetzt, verformen sich seine Falten, und eine unregelmäßige Falte kann kein konstantes Luftvolumen liefern.
Straße, Alltag und der gelegentliche Trackday
Er erhöht den Luftdurchsatz, ohne die Filterwirkung zu opfern, die ein Straßenmotorrad braucht, das in derselben Woche Regen, Stadtverkehr und Sommerstaub erlebt. Wenn Ihre Fahrten sich fast vollständig auf die Rennstrecke verlagert haben, werfen Sie stattdessen einen Blick auf den P08 F1-85; wenn Sie Ihre Sommer auf staubigen Nebenstraßen verbringen, ist der P14 die schützendere Wahl. Für alles dazwischen ist der PM252S die richtige Wahl.
Pflege und Reinigung
Die Reinigung ist eine Sache von zwei Minuten. Richten Sie einen Luftstrahl entgegen der normalen Ansaugrichtung durch das Element, und der Großteil der angesammelten Rückstände löst sich sofort. Ist es wirklich stark verschmutzt, beginnen Sie mit Druckluft, weichen Sie es anschließend in gewöhnlichem Haushaltswaschmittel ein, bewegen Sie es vorsichtig, spülen Sie es aus, bis das Wasser klar bleibt, und lassen Sie es vor dem Wiedereinbau vollständig an der Luft trocknen. Passform & Kompatibilität
