Sprint Filter P08 F1-85 Air Filter for Racing – Royal Enfield Continental GT35 EFI (2015–2018) CM195S F1-85

Laid out side by side, the three media for this airbox span more than a factor of eight in flow — 1,800, 5,050 and 15,000 l/m²/sec — while their filtration runs from 14 to 85 µm. That is a wide spread for one housing, and it exists because the spread describes conditions rather than machines. The Continental GT35 EFI left production in 2018, so anyone weighing up those three entries today already knows precisely what the motorcycle is used for. The CM195S F1-85 is the entry at the open end.

A range, not a ranking

Nothing in that spread makes one medium better than another. Finer cloth holds more and passes less; coarser cloth does the reverse, and this racing weave sits a step coarser than the standard one. The three entries are answers to three questions — how dusty, how fast, how far — and a rider who has owned the machine for years usually holds those answers already. That is the useful part of specifying a filter for a motorcycle no longer built: the question is settled before it is asked.

What it is worth here

Very little on the road, and the price makes that worth saying aloud: this element lists at about three and a third times the standard P08 for the same box. A drop-in filter does not make a standard machine noticeably stronger, and the 535 single will find no use for flow of this order outside a track session. If the GT35 in question does see track days the argument changes — the element returns the intake to a known state between runs and never needs replacing. If it does not, the standard weave is the honest recommendation.

Care and cleaning

Service the CM195S F1-85 dry. Compressed air, applied on the clean face and driven outwards, removes what the cloth has caught without pushing it deeper. Grease or road film calls for lukewarm water and a mild washing-up liquid, then a thorough rinse. Drying happens in open air and nowhere near a heat source or a flame, and the element goes back into the airbox with nothing sprayed on. The Downloads tab holds the maintenance sheet.
