Sprint Filter P08 Air Filter for Road & Track – Zontes ZT 350-T (2020–2026) SM277S

A dry filter tells you things. Pull out a paper panel and it is dirty. Pull out an oiled one and it is dirty and greasy, and there is no way to know which of those two the grease belongs to. A dry polyester element brings no film of its own to the job, so every mark left on it came from somewhere — and on a machine listed across seven model years, being able to read the airbox is worth more than it sounds.

What the marks actually mean

An even grey across the whole face is the normal picture: the housing is feeding the element uniformly and the dust is ordinary road dust. A clean stripe along one edge is not good news — it says air has been getting past the seal, and a filtration rating only applies to air that went through the medium rather than around it. A sheen on the clean side usually points back at the crankcase breather rather than at the filter. Heavier loading on one half suggests how the air is distributed inside the box. None of these readings survive contact with a filter that arrives oily by design.

The inspection that costs nothing

Checks that require a purchase get postponed; checks that require an air line do not. That is the practical value here, and it is worth stating plainly what sits alongside it: a drop-in element does not make a standard ZT 350-T noticeably stronger, and this one makes no such claim. It offers a lower intake restriction that is returned to its starting value at every cleaning, and an airbox you can open, look into, and close again without ordering anything.

Care and cleaning

Compressed air from the clean side outward handles a dusty element. A greasy one wants lukewarm water with mild detergent and a proper rinse afterwards. In both cases the drying is done by moving air and nothing else — no radiator, no hot air, no flame — and the SM277S goes back into the housing dry and bare.
