The strongest claim on this page is also the easiest one to waste. Sprint Filter builds the P08 to last as long as the motorcycle does, which means it is bought once and never again — but only for an owner who actually opens the airbox. A disposable panel has its schedule enforced by somebody else: it appears on the service sheet, a workshop swaps it, and neglect gets caught by the system. A washable element hands that job over completely.

So the honest way to read this listing is as a swap of one obligation for another: the recurring purchase disappears and a recurring look takes its place. The look is cheap — cover off, element out, air line, back in — and it is the whole of what the part asks in return for never being bought again.

What it does between those looks

Not magic, and not power. Dropping any element into a standard airbox leaves a standard 703F making what it made before; the listings that imply otherwise are describing a wish. The offer is a lower intake restriction that returns to its starting value every time the element is serviced, instead of climbing quietly through the interval as a paper panel does. Twice the filtering area is part of why: the same collected load spread over more cloth lies thinner, and a thinner layer takes longer to become resistance.

Care and cleaning

Compressed air from the clean face outwards handles the dry share of the load and covers most services. What is left is sticky — insect residue, road film — and that wants lukewarm water with a mild detergent, rinsed until the water runs clear.
