The Turismo Veloce is the MV built to cover ground, and covering ground is the duty cycle that asks the most of an air filter — not because it is violent but because it never stops. Two hours at a constant high load is a continuous draw with no coasting, no traffic and no minute at idle in which anything recovers. The element carries that demand for the whole stage. The Sprint Filter P08 CM135S is a dry polyester medium with roughly double the filtering surface, and that is the property that counts here.

Sustained is harder than peak

Filter restriction is normally quoted as a figure measured for a few seconds on a dyno, and a touring rider never meets that number. What they meet is a long stretch in which the pressure drop across the element is a continuous cost, on a bike carrying luggage and often a passenger, with the airbox warm for hours at a time. Both point the same way: more surface to keep the continuous restriction low, and a dry medium so there is nothing in the intake that heat can mobilise.

Four versions, one filter

The standard Turismo Veloce, the Lusso with its semi-active suspension, the RC in race colours and the SCS with its automatic clutch differ in almost everything except the airbox. CM135S serves all four, along with the rest of the 798 cc triple family — eleven MV Agusta models, which is why the part remains straightforward to buy years into ownership.

Care and cleaning

Compressed air from the clean side outwards. For a deeper clean, wash in lukewarm water with a mild detergent, rinse until the water runs clear, and dry fully in air — never with heat, never with a flame. Refit dry; there is no oiling step.
