The RC is the F3 wearing the Reparto Corse colours and carrying the parts that go with them, and it exists because MV Agusta races. Bikes bought in that spirit see track days, and a track day has a maintenance rhythm nothing on the road shares: sessions twenty minutes apart, a paddock rather than a workshop, and a rider who will happily spend the gap on something that matters. Between sessions, not between services

An oiled cotton filter has to be washed, dried and re-oiled in the correct quantity — hours, not minutes, and not a job anyone does properly on a folding table between two sessions. In practice it gets deferred, which means riding a session on a loaded element. This one comes out, gets blown through from the clean side, and goes straight back in before the tyre warmers come off. The maintenance actually happens, because it fits in the time available.

A circuit is a dusty place

It does not look like one, but a session at high sustained airflow with no coasting and no idle time pulls a great deal of air through the element, and the pressure drop across it rises with that flow rather than staying put. Twice the filtering surface is what keeps the cost low for the whole twenty minutes rather than the opening laps.

Care and cleaning

Compressed air from the clean side outwards, working out rather than in. For a deeper clean, wash in lukewarm water with a mild detergent, rinse until the water runs clear, and dry fully in air — never with heat, never with a flame. Refit dry.
