Selling a motorcycle from a marque most buyers have only read about is an exercise in reassurance. The part of the engine no inspection reaches

A buyer can assess tyres, sprockets, fork seals and the stamps in the service book. What nobody checks on a viewing is the intake tract, because it means taking the seat and the airbox lid off in someone else's garage. So the condition of the air filter comes down to whichever receipt happens to be in the folder — and on a low-volume marque, receipts for consumables are exactly the ones most likely to be missing, because the part was awkward to source in the first place.

A clean filter that needs no paperwork

The P08 CM170S changes what the evidence looks like. Because it is washable and reusable rather than consumable, a clean element is not proof of a recent purchase but of a motorcycle that has been maintained — and it can be shown rather than described. It stays with the bike when the bike changes hands, and the next owner inherits a part designed to last the life of the motorcycle, restored with compressed air instead of replaced on a schedule. Care and cleaning

Blow it through from the clean side with compressed air, working outwards. For a deeper clean, wash in lukewarm water with a mild detergent, rinse until the water runs clear, and let it dry fully in air — never with heat, never with a flame.
