Sprint Filter P08 Air Filter for Road & Track – KTM RC 125 (2014–2019) PM145S

On a naked bike you can form an opinion about most things simply by looking at them. On an RC 125 you form it after removing fasteners, which is why everything behind the bodywork gets inspected on a schedule instead of on a hunch, and why the air filter tends to be dealt with by the calendar rather than by its actual state. The Sprint Filter P08 changes what happens once the panels are off: the element comes out, gets cleaned and goes back in during the same sitting.

Panels off once, not twice

An oiled element turns a filter service into a two-visit job: strip it, wash it, wait for it to dry, oil it, and only then can the bodywork go back on. A dry medium removes the waiting entirely. Blow it through, look at it, put it back — the fairing returns the same afternoon it came off, and the temptation to leave the job until next time never gets a chance to form. On a machine where access is the expensive part of any job, that matters more than any figure printed on a box.

What it will not do to an A1 machine

It will not make the RC 125 faster. The limit here is a licence category and the way the engine was built to meet it, not the size of the hole the air comes through, and any part sold on that basis is being oversold. What a replacement element genuinely offers is a lower starting restriction and one that does not creep upward across a winter of short, damp journeys, because you can return it to where it started.

Care and cleaning

Air line against the clean side, blowing outward; a minute of that removes most of what a season collects. Anything stubborn comes out with warm water and a drop of mild washing-up liquid, rinsed through until the water is clear, then left in moving air until it is genuinely dry throughout.
