Wohin er geschweißt wird
Mindestens drei Rohrdurchmesser hinter eine Zusammenführung und in einen geraden Abschnitt statt in einen Bogen. Gas, das einen Sammler oder eine Ecke verlässt, ist nicht gleichmäßig durchmischt, und eine Sonde in gestörter Strömung liefert eine Zahl, die nichts bedeutet.
Den Stutzen so anwinkeln, dass die Sondenspitze leicht nach oben zeigt. Eine unterhalb der Waagerechten montierte Sonde sammelt Kondensat und fällt früh aus.
Einen Stutzen in dünne Wand schweißen
Der Stutzen ist eine Wärmesenke, das Rohr einen Millimeter dick. Schneiden Sie das Loch genau, damit der Stutzen darin sitzt statt darauf, heften Sie an vier Punkten und halten Sie die Wärme in Bewegung — das übliche Versagen ist eine durchgebrannte Rohrwand neben einer kalten Naht am Stutzen.
M18, weil alles M18 ist
Praktisch jede Seriensonde nutzt M18 × 1,5. Ist die Sonde, die Sie verbauen, M12, schraubt Sparks Reduzieradapter SGATT260 in diesen Stutzen.
