Zwei Neunziger oder ein U
Wo eine Strecke zurücklaufen muss, gibt es zwei Wege: zwei rechte Winkel mit einer Geraden dazwischen oder einen einzelnen 180°-Bogen. In diesem Durchmesser baut Spark beides, und die Wahl ist nicht offensichtlich.
Das U ist ein Teil und eine Verbindung weniger, seine Breite liegt fest. Das Paar ist verstellbar — die Gerade bestimmt den Abstand der beiden Schenkel — um den Preis einer zusätzlichen Naht und etwas mehr Länge. Auf einer engen Untersitzführung gewinnt meist das U, an einem Aufbau, der seine Form noch sucht, das Paar.
Die enge Ecke an einem großen Twin
Fünfundvierzig Millimeter tragen einen großen Twin allein, und ein rechter Winkel darin ist normalerweise die Wende direkt hinter der Krümmerzusammenführung, wo die Strecke den Motor verlässt und nach hinten geht. Es ist der heißeste Bogen der Anlage und der mit dem wenigsten Platz.
Radius gegen Raum
Serienwerkzeuge formen den engsten Radius, der den Querschnitt nicht verformt — und bei fünfundvierzig Millimetern ist das immer noch ein erheblicher Schwenk. Wer in einem Entwurf annimmt, eine Ecke drehe im Raum eines Rohrdurchmessers, irrt: Zeichnen Sie den Bogen, bevor Sie sich festlegen.
Wohin die gleitende Verbindung gehört
Hinter den heißesten Bogen, nicht davor. Edelstahl wächst um etwa siebzehn Mikrometer je Meter und Grad, und der Abschnitt direkt hinter dem Krümmer erlebt den größten Hub — eine Verbindung, die dort gleiten kann, hält dieses Wachstum aus den Nähten heraus.
Formierzeit
Ein rechter Winkel schließt an seinem höchsten Punkt Luft ein und braucht länger, um sich mit Argon zu füllen, als eine Gerade. Geben Sie ihm mehr Zeit, als sich nötig anfühlt — eine verzunderte Wurzel im Bogen lässt sich weder prüfen noch entfernen.
