Funktion
Nach Öhlins-Angabe: Durchmesser 12 mm, Länge 161 mm. Kratzer arbeiten wie eine Feile an der Dichtlippe und führen binnen kurzem zu Ölverlust. Schon feine Kratzer auf der Welle zerstören die Dichtlippe binnen weniger Fahrten. Die Chromschicht ist nur wenige Mikrometer dick; einmal durchgescheuert lässt sie sich nicht nacharbeiten.

Verschleiß zeigt sich zuerst an den Dichtflächen; Riefen dort bedeuten meist, dass mehr als eine Position fällig ist. Kommt die Einheit ohnehin auf die Werkbank, lohnt es sich, die benachbarten Verschleißteile mitzubestellen. Die Welle überträgt die Bewegung vom Rad in das Dämpferinnere. Fotos der ausgebauten Position helfen uns, die Nummer zu bestätigen, bevor Sie bestellen. Ein Dämpfer ist kein Verschleißteil im Ganzen, sondern eine Baugruppe aus Teilen, die einzeln getauscht werden können.
Zuordnung über die Nummer
Nummer 00102-11 und Maß gehören zusammen; weicht eines ab, ist es die falsche Position. Ein Steinschlag auf der Welle wirkt wie eine Feile auf die Dichtlippe. Ihr Durchmesser bestimmt mit, wie viel Öl beim Einfedern verdrängt wird.
