Wo es sitzt
Die Zuordnung läuft über die Nummer, nicht über ein Maß. Das Ventil lässt Öl nur in eine Richtung passieren. Ein hängendes Rückschlagventil macht die Dämpfung unberechenbar. Auf dem Kolben sitzt das Shimpaket, das den Durchfluss geschwindigkeitsabhängig regelt.

Die Kanalquerschnitte sind nach Zug- und Druckstufe getrennt ausgeführt. Ventile öffnen erst ab einem bestimmten Druck und begrenzen so die Kraftspitzen. Die Passung zum Rohr wird beim Zusammenbau geprüft, nicht geschätzt. Ein verschlissener Kolben lässt die Dämpfung weich werden, ohne dass Öl austritt. Der Kolben teilt den Zylinder in zwei Kammern und trägt die Durchflusskanäle. Was nicht am Lager liegt, ordern wir bei Öhlins nach; die Laufzeit nennen wir vor der Bestellung.

Bestellt wird unter 15418-02. Wo sich mehrere Größen eine Bezeichnung teilen, trennt sie nur die Nummer. Die Auflagefläche für die Shims muss eben sein, sonst schließt das Paket nicht sauber.
