Funktion
Öhlins veröffentlicht für diese Position keine Maßangabe; die Nummer ist die Zuordnung. Ein Kolbenring dichtet den Spalt zum Rohr ab, ohne die Reibung stark zu erhöhen. Bestellt wird über die Artikelnummer. Die Maße darunter sind die, die Öhlins selbst veröffentlicht.
Eine Überholung ist günstiger als ein neues Federbein, solange die tragenden Teile in Ordnung sind. Kommt die Einheit ohnehin auf die Werkbank, lohnt es sich, die benachbarten Verschleißteile mitzubestellen. Der Ring dichtet den Spalt zum Zylinder, ohne die Reibung stark zu erhöhen. Was nicht am Lager liegt, ordern wir bei Öhlins nach; die Laufzeit nennen wir vor der Bestellung.

Ist die Einheit bereits geöffnet, lohnt der Abgleich der Maße unten mit dem Teil in der Hand, bevor 00541-01 bestellt wird. Die Kanalquerschnitte sind nach Zug- und Druckstufe getrennt ausgeführt. Öhlins stimmt Kolben und Shimpaket als Einheit ab; einzeln getauscht ändert sich die Charakteristik.
