Der Ersatz-Anti-Beschlag-Einsatz Pinlock® 120XLT MaxVision™ für den LS2 FF807 Dragon und den FF817 Challenger II. Ihr Dragon wurde mit einem Einsatz im Karton geliefert – dieser ist der richtige Kauf, wenn das Original das Ende seiner Lebensdauer erreicht hat.
Was 120XLT bedeutet
Pinlock staffelt seine Einsätze nach Anti-Beschlag-Leistung, und 120 ist die höchste Stufe. Die feuchtigkeitsabsorbierende Innenschicht bindet Kondenswasser, statt es als Tröpfchen auf dem Visier entstehen zu lassen, und das auch unter den Bedingungen, an denen schwächere Einsätze scheitern: kalte Morgen, starker Regen, Stop-and-go-Verkehr ohne Fahrtwind zur Unterstützung. MaxVision bezeichnet die Form – der Einsatz deckt das gesamte Sichtfeld des Visiers ab, statt einen klaren, aber beschlagenden Rand freizulassen, sodass auch Ihr peripheres Sichtfeld beschlagfrei bleibt.
Wann austauschen
Ein Pinlock-Einsatz ist ein Verschleißteil. Seine Silikondichtung verliert mit der Zeit an Haftung, und die absorbierende Schicht sättigt sich irgendwann – bemerkbar als Beschlagen, das sich früher gelegt hat und jetzt nicht mehr, oder als sichtbarer Schleier, der sich nicht wegwischen lässt. Zwei bis drei Saisons regelmäßigen Fahrens sind typisch. Der Austausch ist deutlich günstiger, als das Visier zu ersetzen, das beim Reinigungsversuch des alten Einsatzes zerkratzt wurde.
Montage
Nehmen Sie das Visier vom Helm ab, biegen Sie es vorsichtig nach außen, setzen Sie die Stifte des Einsatzes in die exzentrischen Stiftlöcher ein und lassen Sie los. Die Eigenspannung des Visiers hält den Einsatz in Position. Montieren Sie ihn in einem warmen, trockenen Raum: Kalte, feuchte Luft zwischen Einsatz und Visier einzuschließen ist die mit Abstand häufigste Ursache für „mein neuer Pinlock beschlägt von innen".
Pflege
Reinigen Sie den Einsatz ausschließlich mit lauwarmem Wasser und einem weichen Tuch – niemals mit einem trockenen Tuch und niemals mit Reinigungsmitteln. Die Anti-Beschlag-Schicht ist konstruktionsbedingt porös, und Reinigungsmittel zerstören sie dauerhaft.
