Die K-Tech KTR-5 ist eine für den Rennsport konstruierte Vorderradgabel für Fahrer, die auch über lange Stints auf der Strecke konstante Präzision verlangen. Jedes Detail – von den DLC-beschichteten Tauchrohren bis zu den Standrohren aus 7075-Aluminium – wurde entwickelt, um Runde für Runde eine gleichbleibende, ermüdungsfreie Verbindung zwischen Fahrer und Vorderrad zu liefern, ohne Nachlassen oder unvorhersehbare Dämpfungssprünge.
Wichtigste Merkmale
- Das Through Rod Damping System (TRDS) mit 25-mm-Kartusche schafft vollständig unabhängige Kreisläufe für Druck- und Zugstufe, verhindert gegenseitige Beeinflussung und reduziert die Hysterese für ein berechenbareres, komfortableres Fahrgefühl.

Through Rod Damping System erklärt
Anders als herkömmliche Kartuschengabeln, die sich einen gemeinsamen Ölweg für Druck- und Zugstufe teilen, leitet die TRDS-Architektur der KTR-5 jeden Dämpfungskreislauf durch einen eigenen Kanal innerhalb der 25-mm-Durchgangsstange. Das Ergebnis ist eine Gabel, die sofort und unabhängig sowohl auf Druckstufen-Anregungen – harte Bremsmanöver, Bordsteinkontakte – als auch auf Zugstufenanforderungen reagiert, ohne dass sich die beiden Kreisläufe gegenseitig beeinflussen. Die Hysterese wird drastisch reduziert, sodass sich die Gabel auch nach wiederholten harten Anregungen auf einer technischen Strecke nie träge oder zögerlich beim Rückfedern anfühlt.
Verarbeitungsqualität und Materialien
Die KTR-5 ist die konsequente Weiterentwicklung der bewährten KTR-4-Plattform von K-Tech, gefertigt mit noch engeren Fertigungstoleranzen. Die Standrohre werden aus 7075-Aluminium gefertigt – derselben Legierung, die auch in der Luft- und Raumfahrt sowie in hochbelasteten Strukturbauteilen verwendet wird –, während die Tauchrohre eine DLC-Beschichtung (Diamond-Like Carbon) mit anschließendem Superfinish-Oberflächenprozess erhalten. Diese Kombination erzeugt einen außergewöhnlich niedrigen Reibungskoeffizienten über den gesamten Federweg, reduziert den körperlichen Aufwand, eine konstante Linie durch lange Kurven zu halten, und trägt direkt zum Fahrkomfort bei langen Streckensessions bei. Auch die Achsklemmen werden aus 7075-Aluminium gefertigt und nehmen Bremsscheiben von 290 mm bis 320 mm Durchmesser mit 108-mm-Zentralbefestigungs-Bremssätteln auf.
Einstellung und Abstimmung
Die KTR-5 wird mit drei Federpaaren unterschiedlicher Federraten ausgeliefert, sodass Teams und Privatfahrer die passende Rate für Fahrergewicht und Streckencharakter bereits vor der ersten Session wählen können. Mit 30 Klicks Druckstufen-, 30 Klicks Zugstufeneinstellung und 18 mm Vorspannbereich bietet die Gabel genügend Auflösung, um Komfort und Kontrolle präzise feinabzustimmen – und minimiert die körperliche Belastung des Fahrers, ohne beim Ansprechverhalten Kompromisse einzugehen.

Die KTR-5 Gabel (Teile-Nr. 160-022-770) ist eine 43-mm-Einheit mit einer Gesamtlänge von 770 mm. Sie ist mit einer Vielzahl rennsportvorbereiteter Motorräder kompatibel.
