The Engraved Face
This version carries JetPrime's mark cut into the anodising. Mechanically identical to the plain body, it is offered for owners who prefer a component to be identifiable.
A Twelve-Volt Socket
Ducati fitted power outlets, a centre stand mounting and semi-rigid panniers as standard. The Hyperstrada was a serious attempt at a touring supermoto rather than a badge exercise.
Softer Springs, Same Bike
Ducati changed the suspension rates and the ergonomics and left the 821 engine alone. Underneath the screen and the bags it still steers like a Hypermotard.
Housing Without Switch
The switch block remains in place. This part replaces the throttle assembly, which is the sensible purchase when nothing electrical needs attention.
Distance at One Opening
Touring means holding the throttle rather than working it. A bore that has stayed true makes that position stable and the hand considerably less tired over a long day.
Black Anodising
Converted into the metal. A bike used for real journeys meets weather a weekend machine avoids, and an anodised surface handles it where a coating starts to lift.
Ergal 7075
Aerospace grade at roughly twice the yield strength of ordinary machined alloy. A loaded motorcycle puts real force through the bar when it topples.
An Odd Idea That Worked
Nobody else built a touring supermoto and Ducati did it twice. The concept never sold in volume and the owners who found it tend to be evangelical about it.
A Marking That Lasts
Because the engraving is cut into the anodised layer rather than applied over it, it survives everything the rest of the component survives. There is nothing to peel and nothing to fade.
