The JP ACS 060 J carries the maker's mark engraved into the face. Mechanically it is the same machined housing as the plain version.

Marked, Not Different
The engraving is the only distinction between this and the unmarked body. Some owners want a machined part to be identifiable; others want it to disappear. JetPrime sells both and charges the same.
Where an Engraving Sits
Cut into the anodised surface rather than printed onto it, which means it does not wear away with gloves or fade in sunlight. It will look the same in ten years as it does on the first day.
A Seat You Can Barely Reach
Eight hundred and seventy millimetres. The 821 Hypermotard is a genuinely tall motorcycle and Ducati never apologised for it, offering a lower seat as an accessory instead.
Housing Only
The switch block stays in place. This part replaces the throttle assembly, which is the appropriate purchase when the switchgear is doing its job.
Constant Movement
A supermoto's throttle is worked more than any other control on the motorcycle. A machined bore keeps that movement precise across years rather than seasons.
Black Anodised
Converted into the aluminium. On a bike with almost no bodywork the bar is entirely exposed and the finish has to survive it unaided.
Ergal 7075
An aerospace grade at roughly twice the yield strength of ordinary machined alloy. Supermotos get dropped and the material is chosen with that in view.
After the 1100 EVO
The air-cooled Hypermotard that preceded this one is still the enthusiasts' choice for its noise. The 821 is faster everywhere and considerably easier to own.
A Tail With Nothing In It
Ducati kept the rear of the Hypermotard almost entirely empty, with the exhaust routed low and the subframe minimal. It is why the bike looks the way it does and part of why it weighs what it does.
