The Aligned Version
Both mounting bolts in line. An S has usually been changed at the lever end already, which makes establishing the clamp worth the thirty seconds it takes.
Why Small Runs Are Possible
Injection tooling only pays back across huge volumes. A machining programme is a file, which is the reason a component can be made for one model in one specification.
Grit Never Leaves
Rain evaporates out of a moulded joint. Track dust and road debris settle against a terminal and remain there for the rest of the component's life.
First Point of Contact
The handlebar, then whatever is bolted to it. A moulded shell cracks at the clip line where a milled one takes a mark and keeps functioning normally.
Marginally Heavier
A billet body against moulded plastic. The difference goes the wrong way and it is small enough not to matter, which is worth stating plainly.
Sealed Inside
The switch elements are enclosed within the aluminium. Ingress rather than mechanical wear is what ends switchgear on a bike washed after every track session.
A Six-Axis Platform
Bosch's unit feeds lean angle into ABS, traction, wheelie control and engine braking at once. The V4's aids behave as one system rather than four working against each other.
Öhlins NPX
A pressurised fork developed from Ducati's racing programme, resisting cavitation under repeated hard braking. It is a genuine step rather than a badge.
A Five-Inch Colour Display
Ducati fitted a TFT with a track layout showing gear, lap time and every rider aid. It set a standard the rest of the class took several years to reach.
