The JP ACC KT016 changes how far the 890 Duke R's grip has to turn and nothing else, which is a smaller claim than most cockpit parts make and an easier one to keep.

The Track Version
KTM raised the pegs, fitted better brakes and stiffened the suspension. The R is the 890 for people who take a naked bike to circuits and use all of it.
The Reset Is Not Optional
The controller has to relearn the closed position after the assembly is changed, and that needs a diagnostic tool. Skipping it leaves the bike running badly or not at all.
The Sensor Inside
Ride-by-wire measures grip angle and hands the figure to the engine controller. The assembly is therefore an instrument as much as a mechanism.
Reversible in Half an Hour
The standard assembly refits with its own hardware, and the reset routine is run once more. There is nothing to undo beyond that.
Designed to Feel Mechanical
Ride-by-wire removed the spring weight and the friction that told a rider where the throttle was. The intent here is to put a recognisable feel back at the hand.
Track Days
Repeated hard exits from slow corners are where a long throttle sweep costs time and comfort. That is the situation this part was drawn for.
No Software Involved
Nothing is flashed and no parameter edited. The only electronic step is teaching the controller where closed now sits.
What Electronic Control Changed
For most of motorcycling the right grip pulled a cable and the rider felt the spring, the friction and the air through their hand. Electronic control cut that link and turned the grip into an instrument. Better by almost every measure, and it took away the feedback riders had always used.
Race Harness Versions
Some models appear twice in the catalogue because a race kit loom or a different engine control unit expects another arrangement at the throttle. Fitting the road version to a race-wired machine is not a shortcut, it is a fault waiting to appear.
