Das Motorrad, das nicht in Rente geht
DL650 werden gebraucht mit hoher Laufleistung gekauft und dann weitergefahren, oft als erste Reiseenduro oder als Pendlermaschine, die zufällig auch reist. Das heißt, viele davon werden mit knappem Budget von Besitzern gewartet, die selbst schrauben — genau die Situation, in der ein günstiges Teil, das einen konkreten Fehler behebt, seinen Platz verdient.
Zwanzig Jahre, ein Stecker
Suzuki hat die DL650 in dieser Zeit mehrfach überarbeitet, darunter deutlich 2012 und noch einmal 2017. Der Seitenständerkreis und sein Zweipolstecker blieben jedes Mal unangetastet, weshalb ein Eliminator eine Maschine aus dem ersten Jahr und eine von 2023 abdeckt.
Besser als ein Provisorium
Die überlieferte Lösung ist eine Drahtschlaufe über den Stecker. Sie hält, bis Wasser und Schmutz sie finden, was an einem ganzjährig genutzten Motorrad eine Frage des Wann ist. Ein gefertigter Stecker mit gekapseltem Kontakt beseitigt diesen Ausfallweg für sehr wenig Geld und sieht unter dem Rahmen erheblich besser aus.
