Die Tuono V4 1100 trägt die Elektronik der RSV4 hinter einer völlig anderen Front, und der Scheinwerfer ist das optisch dominanteste Bauteil des Motorrads. An einer für die Rennstrecke vorbereiteten Tuono ist er auch das erste, was abgebaut wird — und der JP ES 006 verhindert, dass sich das Display darüber beschwert.

Geteilt mit der RSV4
Aprilia führt über die V4-Plattform einen gemeinsamen Lichtstromkreis, weshalb eine Artikelnummer sowohl die verkleidete RSV4 als auch die nackte Tuono abdeckt. Wer beide besitzt oder zwischen ihnen wechselt, muss den Eliminator nicht zweimal kaufen.
Ein nacktes Motorrad ändert die Rechnung
An einer verkleideten RSV4 verschwindet der Scheinwerfer hinter der Rennverkleidung und ist schlicht weg. An einer Tuono gibt es nichts, wohinter er verschwinden könnte, der Ausbau hinterlässt also eine sichtbare Lücke, die die meisten Besitzer mit einer Startnummerntafel oder einer kleinen Cockpitscheibe füllen. Das gehört vor den Ausbau geplant, nicht danach.
Montage
An der Tuono ist der Scheinwerfer deutlich besser zugänglich als an der verkleideten RSV4 — die Einheit liegt frei und der Stecker sitzt direkt dahinter. Abstecken, abschrauben, Eliminator kabelbaumseitig aufstecken. Es ist eine der wenigen Arbeiten dieser Liste, die tatsächlich Minuten statt eines Nachmittags braucht.
Gewicht und Balance
Scheinwerfereinheit und Halterung der Tuono sitzen hoch und weit vorn, also an der denkbar ungünstigsten Stelle für Masse. Absolut ist die Ersparnis nicht dramatisch, aber sie fällt vor der Lenkachse an, wo das Motorrad sie spürt — und an einem nackten Motorrad gibt es kein Verkleidungsgewicht, das man stattdessen abbauen könnte.
