Semi-Active Suspension Earns Its Keep on Track
On a circuit the WP APEX units have something genuinely useful to do. Braking, turn-in and drive load the chassis differently within seconds of each other, and continuous adjustment handles that better than a static setup can be made to.
A Reduced Right-Hand Set
What remains is the starter and the engine stop, spaced further apart than on the road cluster. On a circuit those are the two controls that must work first time, and everything around them is noise.
Universal Clamp Holes
The plate accepts either master cylinder bolt geometry. EVO owners who take the bike to circuits frequently fit a remote-adjust cylinder, and this keeps the brake specification independent of the switchgear entirely.
Factory Electronics Untouched
KTM's connector and the standard ECU. The semi-active damping, the traction intervention and the anti-wheelie all continue to function as calibrated, and no racing harness is required at any point.
Built for Contact
Track bikes go down and naked ones land on the handlebar. A milled Ergal body scuffs where a clipped moulding splits, which across a season is measured in sessions completed rather than in the price of a component.
Sealed Elements
Contacts sealed inside a one-piece housing. Ingress rather than mechanical wear is what ends switchgear on a machine washed hot after every outing and stored damp in a van between meetings.
Black Anodised
One finish, through the surface rather than applied. A slide dulls the component instead of stripping it back to bright aluminium.
