A Race Cluster on a Sport Tourer
It sounds contradictory until you remember what the GT actually is: a 175 hp Super Duke with a fairing and luggage mounts. Owners who take one to a circuit find it embarrassingly quick, and they prepare the cockpit accordingly.
Removing What a Circuit Ignores
The controls that operate indicators and the horn occupy positions the thumb searches for the starter and kill switch. Taking them out widens the gaps between what remains, which is the entire functional argument.
Universal Clamp Geometry
The plate accepts either master cylinder bolt arrangement, which on a GT matters for a second reason: these bikes carry bar risers and guards that crowd the same area, and flexibility around the clamp is useful regardless of the brake.
Standard Wiring
No aftermarket harness and no external dashboard. KTM's connector and the factory ECU handle the switch, so the cruise control and heated grips on the left cluster continue to work exactly as delivered.
Faired but Still Vulnerable
The GT's fairing protects the flanks and not the handlebar ends. In a slide the bar and the switch on it still reach the ground early, and a milled body handles that better than a clipped moulded shell.
Sealed Contacts
Elements sealed inside a one-piece body. A GT used on both road and circuit meets rain and pressure washing in the same month, and neither finds a route into a housing with no moulded seam.
Black Anodised
One finish, converted into the surface rather than applied over it. It dulls with contact rather than chipping, which on a bike used this way is the more useful behaviour.
