The JP CJP 012B is the programmable fuel controller for the Norge GT 8V - Polizia: a full map with every cell empty, waiting for somebody with software and a wideband sensor.

Built for Duty
The police specification Norge covers enormous mileages at moderate speeds, which is the least glamorous and most demanding thing a tourer can be asked to do.
Programming Over USB
A cable from a laptop to the unit, the dedicated software on a Windows machine, and the map written in seconds. The motorcycle does not need to be running to receive it.
Documenting Changes
Save the map before every session with a date in the filename. Anybody who has lost three evenings of work to an unsaved change only does it once.
Not a Standard-Bike Product
An unmodified motorcycle with the factory exhaust has no use for a programmable map. The manufacturer says as much by listing racing modifications as the reason.
Cell Blending
A correction in one cell affects its neighbours through interpolation. Maps that look smooth on screen feel smooth on the road, and jagged ones announce themselves immediately.
No Subscription
The software is supplied, the maps belong to the owner and nothing is rented. In a market moving the other way that is worth saying out loud.
Buying Second Hand
The unit transfers between identical motorcycles because nothing in it belongs to one machine. The harness is the part that has to match, not the box.
Three Cylinders
Triples sit between the two and tend to show mixture problems as a change in character rather than as a stumble. They reward careful low-load work.
A Map Has No Ceiling
Unlike a fixed curve it can keep improving as long as somebody keeps working on it. That is the argument for the higher price and it is only worth anything to an owner who will do the work.
