Eine Adventure-VFR
Honda setzte den V4 in ein hohes Fahrwerk mit breitem Lenker und nannte es Crossrunner. Es ist ein Sporttourer, der wie eine Reiseenduro aussieht.
Gleichmäßiges Gasstoßen
Eine magere Abstimmung im Reisebetrieb erzeugt bei konstanter Geschwindigkeit ein leichtes Pendeln, das Fahrer mit der Zeit ignorieren lernen. Es ist die häufigste Beschwerde über moderne Einspritzanlagen und genau das, was ein Kraftstoffmodul am besten beheben kann.
Gewicht und Platzbedarf
Zweihundert Gramm und ein Gehäuse von der Größe einer Streichholzschachtel. Bei den meisten Motorrädern ist es schwieriger, einen ordentlichen Platz für das Kabel zu finden als für das Modul selbst.
Kalte Morgen
Start- und Warmlaufanfettung sind Aufgabe des Serien-Steuergeräts. Ein Modul ändert daran nichts, und wer sich davon eine Lösung für Kaltstartprobleme erhofft, schaut auf das falsche Bauteil.
Wo das Zögern entsteht
Der Übergang vom geschlossenen zum gerade geöffneten Gas ist für jede Einspritzanlage die schwierigste Phase, weil sich der Luftstrom schneller ändert, als die Sensoren melden können. Jede Beschwerde über ruckeliges Ansprechen führt auf diesen Moment zurück.
Lieferumfang
Das Modul und ein für ein bestimmtes Motorrad gefertigter Kabelbaum. Der Besitzer bringt zwanzig Minuten, einen Kabelbinder und einen vernünftigen Einbauort mit.
Eine Anmerkung zu Prüfstandsläufen
Ein Leistungslauf misst Vollgas von niedriger Drehzahl bis zum Begrenzer. Das ist eine einzige Linie durch ein Kennfeld mit Hunderten von Zellen – und nicht die Linie, die dieses Modul verändern soll.
Ein Hinweis für Werkstätten
Das Modul ist unter der Sitzbank sichtbar und lässt sich in Sekunden abziehen. Jede Diagnose am Motorrad sollte mit dessen Ausbau beginnen, was weniger Zeit braucht, als diesen Absatz zu lesen.
