The JP ES 016 keeps the Streetfighter V4S from reporting a number plate lamp failure once the standard illumination has been removed along with the original rear mudguard.

The One Most Buyers Take
Like the Panigale, the S is the version that sells. The suspension is what makes the motorcycle work outside a circuit and buyers understand that.
Not the Tail Light
Anybody removing both will need two answers, because Ducati measures the two circuits independently and raises a separate code for each.

An Approval Question
Plate illumination is required by law in most European markets, and no eliminator changes that. It answers the electronics rather than the regulations.
Nothing to Configure
No polarity, no settings and no calibration. It either restores the expected load or it does not, and in practice it always does.
The Connector Is Exposed Anyway
It comes into view the moment the hanger is unbolted, so the eliminator adds nothing to the time the job already takes.
The Order of Work
Seat off, tail panels off, hanger unbolted, connector found, eliminator plugged in, everything back together. It is a single evening at the outside.
Where the Heat Goes
Restoring a load means turning the missing current into warmth, which is unavoidable in any part that does this job. It matters only in where the body is mounted: somewhere air moves, tied off clear of wiring and plastic, rather than pressed flat against the inside of a seat unit where the heat has nowhere to go.
What Happens to the Old Bracket
The original plate holder generally comes off in one piece with the lamp still attached to it, which makes it easy to keep as a unit. Bagged whole rather than dismantled, it goes back on in ten minutes, and the fasteners staying with it is what makes that true.
