Semiaktiv und der Schlusspunkt
Die S ergänzte das größte Zweizylinder-Superbike, das Ducati je gebaut hat, um eine elektronisch geregelte Dämpfung. Diese Maschinen sind inzwischen alt genug, um sie ohne Zögern für die Rennstrecke vorzubereiten.
Zuerst die Wegfahrsperre prüfen
Wo der Schlüssel einen Transponder trägt, ist der Ring um den Schließzylinder Teil des Startstromkreises. Das muss geklärt sein, bevor der Schließzylinder ausgebaut wird.
Eloxiert
Die Farbe wird in das Aluminium eingebracht, statt obenauf zu liegen; deshalb sieht die Oberfläche nach einer Saison mit Bremsenreiniger noch genauso aus.
Wie der Motor abgestellt wird
Die Taste unterbricht den Zündstromkreis genau so, wie es bisher das Drehen des Schlüssels auf „Aus“ getan hat. An der Art, wie der Motor ausgeht, ändert sich nichts.
Was bleibt
Schalterarmaturen, Starterknopf, Beleuchtung und alle Fahrhilfen. Dieses Teil nimmt den Platz ein, den der Zündschlossblock belegt hat, und sonst nichts.
Rückbau
Der Serienblock wird mit seinen eigenen Befestigungsteilen und seinem eigenen Stecker wieder montiert, was ungefähr so lange dauert wie der Ausbau.
Dicht gegen den Hochdruckreiniger
Die Schutzart IP69K bezieht sich ausdrücklich auf heißes Wasser unter Druck aus kurzer Entfernung, und genau so wird ein Rennmotorrad am Sonntagabend gereinigt.
Warum das Schloss als Letztes geht
Weil es noch funktioniert und weil der Ausbau bedeutet, sich mit der Verkabelung zu befassen, statt nur einen Halter zu lösen. Dieses Teil macht diesen Schritt kurz.
Die Farbwahl
Wo es mehrere Oberflächen gibt, ist es dasselbe Teil aus einem anderen Eloxalbad. Funktional ändert sich zwischen ihnen nichts.
Reglement und technische Abnahme
Meisterschaften legen eigene Regeln dafür fest, wie sich ein Motor abstellen lassen muss und wo das Bedienelement sitzt. Eine abgedichtete Taste an der serienmäßigen Position auf der Gabelbrücke erfüllt die meisten davon, maßgeblich ist aber allein das Reglement, und es lohnt sich, es vor der Bestellung zu lesen.
