Ein kurzes Schlusskapitel
Triumph hat die 1050er 2021 durch die 1200er ersetzt, diese Generation lief also nur drei Jahre. Damit ist sie die seltenste der Speed Triples und die, bei der modellspezifische Teile am schnellsten dünn werden — ein Grund, ein Teil zu bevorzugen, das um die Stromkreise des Motors herum gebaut ist statt um ein Modellschild.
Derselbe Name, ein anderes Teil
Das Schild 1050 umfasst 2005 bis 2020, und die Verdunstungsanordnung wechselte mittendrin. Ein Motorrad von 2017 nimmt einen anderen Eliminator als eines von 2018. Bei diesem Modell zählt das Baujahr mehr als die Buchstaben hinter der Zahl.
Unter dem Tank
An den Behälter zu kommen heißt, den Tank anzuheben — dieselbe Demontage wie für Luftfilter oder Zündkerzen. Die Arbeit zusammen mit einem ohnehin anstehenden Service zu machen verwandelt einen Nachmittag in zehn zusätzliche Minuten.
