Die Tankabdeckung ist das Teil, auf das der Fahrer die ganze Fahrt lang schaut. Alles andere am Motorrad sieht man, wenn man darauf zugeht oder wenn es jemand fotografiert – dieses eine liegt zwischen den Unterarmen, in jeder Stunde im Sattel. Damit ist es das Teil, bei dem die Qualität der Oberfläche am härtesten beurteilt wird und ein gutes Laminat seinen Preis verdient.

Das Paneel, auf das Sie die ganze Fahrt blicken
Eine Tankabdeckung kauft man aus einem Grund, und der heißt nicht Gewicht. Die Ersparnis ist real, aber gegen eine volle Tankfüllung gering, und etwas anderes zu behaupten wäre albern. Was sich ändert, ist der Charakter des Motorrads aus der Fahrerperspektive: Aus einem Kunststoffpaneel wird eine gewebte Oberfläche mit sichtbarer Tiefe.
Es ist zugleich das Paneel, das am meisten mit Jackenreißverschluss, Tankrucksack und Gürtelschnalle in Berührung kommt. Deshalb spricht hier mehr als anderswo dafür, die Ausführung als Verschleißfrage zu betrachten und nicht nur als Geschmacksfrage.
Passend für
Ducati Streetfighter V4, Modelljahre 2025 und 2026, an den originalen Tankbefestigungen. Passt nicht an die Streetfighter V4 von 2020 bis 2024 mit anders geformtem Tank und Cover.

Die Ausführung dort, wo die Jacke aufliegt
Klarlack ist die naheliegende Wahl und diejenige, die jede Reißverschlussspur zeigt. Lack zerkratzt bei geringerer Last als blankes Carbon, und die Tankabdeckung ist das Paneel, an dem bei jedem Auf- und Absteigen eine Jacke entlangstreift. Es sieht großartig aus und verlangt Sorgfalt.
Matt verbirgt Kontaktspuren besser als alles andere hier und ist die Wahl für ein täglich bewegtes Motorrad. Satin ist der Kompromiss, bei dem die meisten landen. Roh hat keinen Lack, der zerkratzen könnte – auf genau diesem Paneel ist das ein stärkeres Argument als der günstigere Preis.
