Das ist eines der wenigen Carbonteile an einem Motorrad, das ab- und angebaut werden soll. Abdeckung drauf für die Solofahrt, Soziuspolster zurück für die Mitfahrerin – der Wechsel dauert so lange wie das Suchen des Schlüssels.
Das hat Folgen für die Pflege. Eine Abdeckung, die ihr halbes Leben in einer Garagenecke verbringt, sammelt Kratzer von dem, woran sie lehnt, und auf Klarlack sieht man die deutlich stärker als auf einem Kunststoffpolster.

Zulassung
Fullsix weist für dieses Teil weder eine ABE noch eine EG-Betriebserlaubnis aus. Den Soziusplatz abzudecken ändert nichts an der Zulassung des Motorrads – eine dauerhaft montierte Abdeckung an einem für zwei Personen zugelassenen Motorrad ist vor einer Prüfung trotzdem einen Gedanken wert.
Montage
Beim ersten Mal prüfen, dass das Schloss vollständig einrastet, und vor der Fahrt kräftig nach oben ziehen. Eine Soziusabdeckung, die bei Autobahntempo das Motorrad verlässt, ist das Problem desjenigen hinter Ihnen.
