Die schmutzigste Ecke des Motorrads
Alles, was die Kette abgibt, landet hier: Fett, Aluminiumabrieb vom Ritzel, aufgenommener Straßenstaub. Die Abdeckung verhindert, dass das über die Motorgehäuse und auf den Stiefel des Fahrers verteilt wird.
Sie ist zudem das Teil, das bei jedem Kettenservice heruntermuss – ein gutes Argument für eine Abdeckung, die nach ein paar Saisons Kaltreiniger nicht kreidig wird.
Wenn sie ohnehin ab ist, lohnt der Blick dahinter: Ein feuchter Film um die Ausgangswelle ist der erste Hinweis auf einen müden Wellendichtring, und an dieser Stelle fällt er nur auf, solange die Abdeckung in der Hand liegt.

Zulassung
Fullsix weist für dieses Teil weder eine ABE noch eine EG-Betriebserlaubnis aus. Die Abdeckung des Antriebs an der Ausgangswelle ist in mehreren Märkten vorgeschrieben: Der Abdeckungsumfang gehört so erhalten, wie er geliefert wird.
Montage
Drei Schrauben. Die Auflagefläche vor der Montage säubern, damit die Abdeckung plan sitzt, und prüfen, dass der Schalthebel seinen vollen Weg macht, ohne an beiden Enden anzustehen.
