Was eine Bugverkleidung ist – und was nicht
Sie schirmt die Motorunterseite gegen Steine ab, die das Vorderrad hochwirft, und hält Spritzwasser aus dem Bereich des Kurbelgehäuses. Sie ist Verkleidung, kein Motorschutz, und das gehört deutlich gesagt: Einen Felsschlag auf einer Schotterpiste nimmt dieses Laminat nicht auf, und dafür ist es auch nicht gedacht.
Für schnelle Landstraße und Autobahn – wo diese Motorräder den größten Teil ihres Lebens verbringen – spielt der Unterschied selten eine Rolle. Für groben Schotter ist eine Aluminium-Schutzplatte die ehrliche Antwort.

Zulassung
Fullsix weist für dieses Teil weder eine ABE noch eine EG-Betriebserlaubnis aus. Eine maßgleiche Bugverkleidung an Originalaufnahmen ist der unkomplizierte Fall, bestätigen müssen Sie das trotzdem selbst.
Montage
Auf dem Montageständer und mit kaltem Auspuff arbeiten. Die Verkleidung läuft dicht am Krümmer vorbei, und der Abstand, den sie braucht, ist der des Originals.
Alle Halter ansetzen, bevor etwas festgezogen wird. Ein Teil dieser Größe, das auf einen Halter gezwungen wird, trägt den Verzug für den Rest seines Lebens – und das zeigt sich ein paar tausend Kilometer später als gerissenes Befestigungsauge.
