Das eine Motorrad, an dem sie sich verdienen
Überall sonst in diesem Katalog beschreiben wir Zangenkühler ehrlich als Ausstattung, weil Straßenbremsungen eine Zange nie hart oder oft genug belasten, als dass Kühlung der begrenzende Faktor wäre.
Die V4 R ist die Ausnahme. Sie ist eine Homologationsmaschine für die Rennstrecke, und wer Session auf Session fährt, ist genau in dem Zustand, für den der Langstreckensport diese Teile entwickelt hat: Wärme geht schneller in die Zange hinein als heraus, bis der Hebel nicht mehr dort zurückkommt, wo er soll.
Messen, wenn die Bremse getauscht wurde
Die Kanäle sind auf den Befestigungsabstand der Zange gebaut, nicht auf das Modell. Eine V4 R mit Zubehörzangen nimmt sie womöglich nicht an, also vorher prüfen statt hinterher.

Montage
Über Kreuz und in zwei Durchgängen anziehen. Vor dem ersten Turn und nach jedem weiteren den Sitz kontrollieren, und dabei auch auf die Kanten des Kanals achten: Ein Anlaufen an der Scheibe hinterlässt dort eine sichtbare Spur, lange bevor man es hört.
