Design, Verarbeitung und Erbe
Der schwarze A450 ist der reinste Ausdruck von Dominos Designsprache: klar, zurückhaltend und unverkennbar italienisch. Während farbige Varianten ein optisches Statement setzen, fügt sich die durchgehend schwarze Ausführung nahtlos in jede Motorrad-Lackierung ein — ob Sportler, Naked Bike, Tourer oder Rennmaschine. Das skulptural geformte Multiconic-Profil des Griffs ist zugleich funktional und elegant und führt die Hand ganz natürlich in die richtige Fahrposition, ohne unnötigen optischen Ballast.
Domino Italy fertigt seit den 1950er-Jahren Präzisions-Gasdrehgriffe und Griffsysteme. Dieses handwerkliche Erbe steckt in jedem A450: Die Gummimischung ist kein generisches Standardgummi von der Stange, sondern eine firmeneigene TPR-Rezeptur, entwickelt über Jahrzehnte an Rückmeldungen aus dem Motorsport und eingesetzt von Werksteams ebenso wie von Privatfahrern in den MotoGP-Nachwuchsklassen und Superbike-Meisterschaften weltweit.
Leistung auf Straße und Rennstrecke
Die Dual-Compound-Struktur des A450 löst ein grundlegendes Spannungsfeld im Griffdesign: Die äußere Schicht muss weich genug sein, um Vibrationen zu absorbieren und taktiles Feedback zu liefern, während der innere Kern fest genug bleiben muss, um unter Belastung formstabil zu sein. Domino löst dies durch die Kombination zweier unterschiedlicher TPR-Rezepturen, sodass sich der Griff dort zusammendrückt, wo es sinnvoll ist, und dort seine Form hält, wo es nötig ist. Das Ergebnis ist ein Handgriff, der sich bei 200 km/h spürbar verbunden anfühlt und ebenso komfortabel auf einer dreistündigen Autobahnfahrt ist.
Die Multiconic-Oberfläche — Dominos patentierte Oberflächengeometrie — erzeugt eine Reihe abgestufter Kontaktzonen entlang des Griffs. Statt eines gleichförmigen Zylinders verjüngt und strukturiert sich das Profil so, dass die Griffkraft gleichmäßig über Handfläche und Finger verteilt wird — das verhindert punktuelle Druckstellen, die auf längeren Fahrten zu Ermüdung der Hände führen.
