Das Serieninstrument behalten
Die meisten, die eine straßenzugelassene CBR600RR umbauen, behalten zunächst das Originalinstrument, und dafür gibt es einen guten Grund: Es spricht bereits mit dem Motorrad. Die PC69 trägt eine sechsachsige IMU und das von der CBR1000RR übernommene Elektronikpaket — drei voreingestellte Fahrmodi plus zwei frei belegbare, neunstufige Traktionskontrolle mit Schlupfregelung, Motorbremsmanagement und Wheelie-Kontrolle. All das wird über das Serieninstrument eingestellt. Es gegen einen Zubehördisplay zu tauschen, heißt diese Bedienoberfläche aufzugeben oder nachzubauen — eine Entscheidung, die man bewusst treffen sollte statt nebenbei.
Was mit der Nase sonst noch abgeht
Mit der Serienstruktur gehen Scheinwerfer, Blinker, deren Halter und eine Handvoll Steckverbinder. Zwei Ratschläge von Leuten, die es hinter sich haben: nichts abschneiden und alles beschriften. Der Kabelbaum ist intakt echtes Geld wert und gekürzt gar nichts, und ein Motorrad, das in zwei Jahren wieder Straßenzustand bekommen soll, ist ein völlig anderer Aufwand — je nachdem, ob die Stecker zurück in den Strang geklebt oder abgezwickt wurden. Die Beleuchtungsteile zur Serienverkleidung legen, nicht getrennt: Sie gehören zur selben Zukunft.
