Carbonin bietet die Ansaugführung der R9 in drei Längen an, und dies ist die lange. Sie ist zugleich mit deutlichem Abstand die teuerste der drei, was darauf hindeutet, dass es sich um eine größere Baugruppe handelt und nicht um dasselbe Rohr mit mehr Material.

Ansauglänge ist eine Abstimmungsfrage
Die Länge eines Ansaugtrakts ist nicht beliebig. Eine Luftsäule in einem Kanal hat ihre eigene Resonanz, und wo diese Resonanz im Drehzahlband liegt, entscheidet, wo der Motor etwas mehr Füllung bekommt und wo er etwas verliert. Längere Trakte begünstigen die Mitte des Bandes, kürzere das obere Ende. An einem 890er-Dreizylinder mit breitem Drehmomentverlauf greift diese Wahl in Übersetzung und Strecke hinein — weshalb ein Hersteller drei Längen anbietet statt einer.
