Zwei dB-Einsätze liegen bei statt einem. Das erwähnt Akrapovic nicht oft, und es sagt Ihnen, wofür diese Anlage gedacht ist: eine Maschine, die am Samstag auf der einen Strecke die Standgeräuschmessung besteht und am Sonntag woanders einen anderen Grenzwert.

Der Austritt nach rechts
Yamaha führt den Serienauspuff der R9 nach unten. Akrapovic bringt diesen an der rechten Seite der Maschine heraus, so wie die Supersport-Maschinen es machen, und liefert einen Aluminiumhalter mit, der ihn trägt. Die Optik ist Absicht und die Packung auch: Ohne etwas unter dem Motor gewinnen Schräglage und Bodenfreiheit.
Die Gestaltung folgt den Anlagen, die Akrapovic für R6, R7 und R1 baut — eine Familienähnlichkeit, die im Fahrerlager jeder erkennt.
In der Mitte bleibt nichts
Diese Anlage hat weder Katalysator noch Vorschalldämpfer. Beides ist weg, nicht versetzt, und daher kommen der größte Teil der 1,84 kg Ersparnis und der gesamte Geräuschzuwachs. Das Standgeräusch steigt von 95,5 dB auf 103,2 bei 6.500/min.
Den Vorschalldämpfer zu entfernen verändert das, was der Motor sieht, so stark, dass Akrapovic die Neuabstimmung zwingend nennt statt ratsam. Die Maschine läuft auch ohne — nur eben schlecht.
Zwei Einsätze, eine Anlage
Akrapovic vermerkt, dass zwei verschiedene dB-Einsätze zum Produkt gehören. Strecken legen ihre Standgeräuschgrenzen selbst fest — 95, 98, 102 dB sind alle irgendwo in Gebrauch — und eine Anlage, die sich auf zwei verschiedene Werte bringen lässt, kommt in mehr Fahrerlager als eine, die das nicht kann.
Wo die R9 steht
Yamahas CP3-Dreizylinder in einem Supersport-Rahmen, 890 cm³, serienmäßig rund 119 PS. Die R9 ist neu genug, dass das Zubehör noch nachwächst, und Akrapovic deckt sie dreifach ab: die Evolution Line S-Y9E1-EET, diese Racing Line und das Track-Day-Verbindungsrohr L-Y9R1/TD, das das Geräusch beider senkt.
Die Racing Line ist die mittlere Wahl. Titan dort, wo es sichtbar ist und Gewicht spart, Edelstahl für Krümmer und Verbindungsrohr — und ein Preis weit unter der vollständigen Titananlage.
Viereinhalb PS
Von serienmäßigen 111,8 PS auf 116,2, der Zuwachs verzeichnet bei 9.500/min. Das Drehmoment geht von 88 Nm auf 90,2, und den größten Drehmomentzuwachs legt Akrapovic auf 5.000/min — weit unten, in dem Bereich, aus dem ein Dreizylinder zieht, und genau deshalb passt der CP3-Motor so gut auf einen winkligen Kurs.

Sechzig Minuten Montage. Die Neuabstimmung danach ist der Teil, der Zeit und Geld kostet, und kein ehrlicher Kostenvoranschlag lässt sie weg.

Keine. Dieses Produkt erfüllt die Abgasvorschriften für den Straßenverkehr nicht. Nur für geschlossene Rennstrecken.
