Zwanzig Gramm. Das ist die gesamte Gewichtsersparnis dieses Schilds gegenüber dem, was BMW verbaut — 110 Gramm gegen 130 — und das gleich zu sagen ist nützlicher, als es zu verpacken. Niemand montiert dieses Teil, um ein 237 kg schweres Motorrad leichter zu machen.

Was es tatsächlich bringt
Optik, und nur Optik. Die GS trägt ihren Dämpfer rechts oben, wo ihn jeder Passant sieht, und ein gewebtes Carbonschild neben einem Titantopf wirkt fertig, wie ein lackiertes Blechschild es nicht tut.
Das ist ein legitimer Grund, Geld für ein Motorrad auszugeben. Ein Leistungsteil ist es nicht, und diese Seite tut nicht so, als wäre es eines.
Es passt auch an die BMW-Anlage
Wissenswert, weil man es leicht übersieht: Akrapovic gibt an, dass das Schild auch an die Akrapovic-Anlage passt, die BMW über das eigene Zubehörprogramm verkauft.
Sehr viele R-1300-GS-Käufer bestellen diese Anlage gleich mit dem Motorrad, ohne je eine Akrapovic-Artikelnummer zu sehen. Kam Ihre GS mit einem Titandämpfer vom Händler, ist dieses Schild mit hoher Wahrscheinlichkeit das richtige dafür.
Zwei Slip-On-Nummern
S-B13SO4-HJGT ist die Fassung in Titanoptik, S-B13SO4-HJGTBL die schwarze. Das Schild ist für beide dasselbe — nur die Oberfläche des Dämpfers unterscheidet sich, und die Aufnahmepunkte sind in beiden Fällen dieselben.
Handgefertigt, und was das heißt
Akrapovic verwendet den Begriff mit Absicht. Ein Schild dieser Form lässt sich nicht pressen; das Carbon wird von Hand in eine Form eingelegt, ausgehärtet und dann beschnitten. Deshalb kostet ein 110-Gramm-Teil, was es kostet.
Deshalb liegt auch das Gewebe so, wie es liegt. An einem sichtbaren Teil ist die Richtung des Gewebes eine Entscheidung, die jemand getroffen hat, und kein Zufall des Verfahrens.
Fünfzehn Minuten
Das Serienschild wird abgeschraubt, und dieses kommt an dieselben Aufnahmen. Das ist Sache des Besitzers und keine Werkstattarbeit, und nachher muss nichts eingestellt werden.
Wo die zwanzig Gramm geblieben sind
Ein Schild dieser Größe ließe sich aus gewebtem Carbon deutlich leichter als 110 Gramm bauen. Es ist es nicht, weil das Schild der R 1300 GS eine große Spanne zwischen den Aufnahmen überbrücken muss, ohne gegen den Dämpfer zu federn — und Steifigkeit kostet bei dieser Form Material.
Das ist die ehrliche Erklärung für zwanzig Gramm Ersparnis dort, wo andere Schilde dieser Reihe zweihundert sparen.
Auch die Adventure
R 1300 GS und R 1300 GS Adventure haben dieselbe Dämpferposition, das Schild deckt also beide ab. Wie immer bei der GS ist der Auspuff das Teil, das am ehesten schon getauscht wurde — prüfen Sie vor der Bestellung, was montiert ist.
Zulassung
Nicht einschlägig. Ein Hitzeschild ist weder ein Abgas- noch ein Geräuschbauteil. Was das Motorrad darf, entscheidet die Anlage dahinter.
