Was vier Dezibel bringen
Strecken legen ihre Standgeräuschgrenzen selbst fest. 105 dB ist in Deutschland und weiten Teilen Europas eine verbreitete Schwelle, und eine Evolution Line ohne diesen Dämpfer liegt darüber. Mit ihm beträgt der Wert 104,8.
Zwei Zehntel Dezibel sind wenig Spielraum, und ein Messgerät an einem warmen Tag liest anders als eines an einem kalten Morgen. Aber es ist der Unterschied zwischen einer Diskussion an der Einfahrt und einer Session auf der Strecke.
Zwei Anlagen, ein Dämpfer
Akrapovic nennt die Evolution Line (Titanium) und die Racing Line (Titanium) der S 1000 RR. Welche der beiden auch am Motorrad sitzt — das hier ist der Dämpfer.
Wissenswert beim Zusammenstellen: Die Anlagen, die Akrapovic im Text nennt, sind die Basis-Artikelnummern, und dieser Shop führt von beiden die überarbeiteten Fassungen. Die Anlagen sind dieselbe Konstruktion unter neuerer Nummer, und der Dämpfer gehört dazu — kam die Anlage an Ihrem Motorrad aber von anderswo, klären Sie es vor der Bestellung.
Vier Modellnamen
Das Superbike S 1000 RR, das Homologationsmodell M 1000 RR sowie die um denselben Motor gebauten Roadster S 1000 R und M 1000 R. BMW hält den Auspuffaustritt über die Baureihe gleich, ein Dämpfer bedient sie also alle ab 2019.
Optional heißt optional
Beide Anlagen sind auch ohne dieses Teil vollständig und nutzbar. Im Karton fehlt nichts; den Dämpfer gibt es, weil manche Veranstalter einen niedrigeren Wert verlangen, als die Anlage ab Werk liefert.
Wer seine Maschine nur auf der Straße oder an Strecken ohne Standgeräuschgrenze bewegt, hat keinen Grund, einen zu montieren.
Kaufen, bevor man ihn braucht
Der praktische Punkt. Ein Dämpfer ist ein kleines Teil, das kein Händler im Fahrerlager vorrätig hat, und wer bei der Abnahme abgewiesen wird, hat Nenngeld und Anfahrt schon hinter sich.

Er kostet Durchfluss
Jede Drossel im Austritt tut das. Akrapovic veröffentlicht zum Dämpfer keinen Leistungswert, hier wird also keiner genannt — aber eine leisere Anlage atmet auch weniger frei, und das ist der Handel, den jede Geräuschregel verlangt.
Zulassung
Im üblichen Sinn nicht einschlägig. Es geht um Streckengrenzwerte und nicht um Straßenlegalität, und die Anlagen, an die er passt, sind Wettbewerbsanlagen ohne Typgenehmigung.
