Seit der ersten Monster von 1993 machen Besitzer das Naked Bike von Ducati gern zu ihrem eigenen Projekt, und die Monster 1200 S ist da keine Ausnahme. Bei so wenig Verkleidung liegt jedes Teil an der Flanke des Motorrads offen, auch das, was es schützt. Das macht ein Sturzpad ebenso zu einer gestalterischen wie zu einer vernünftigen Entscheidung. Der TP080 von Accossato, gelistet für die Monster 1200 S von 2014 bis 2018, ist aus Aluminium gefräst und trägt einen eloxierten Einsatz in einer von sechs Farben, dazu bei Bedarf eine Schraubenabdeckung im selben Ton.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Accossato fräst den TP080 aus Aluminium auf CNC-Anlagen und eloxiert den Einsatz in der von Ihnen bestellten Farbe: Rot, Schwarz, Silber, Gold, Blau oder Grün. Die Schraubenabdeckung ist eine eigene Entscheidung. Mit ihr verschwindet die Befestigung unter einer Kappe in der Farbe des Einsatzes, ohne sie wirkt das Pad technischer. Sie erhalten zwei Pads. Welche Farbe Sie auch wählen, die Aufgabe bleibt gleich: Fällt die Monster 1200 S, sollen sie vor dem Rahmen und den umliegenden Teilen aufsetzen, was den Schaden verringern kann. Ein Pad, das durchgescheuert oder gerissen ist, hat seine Arbeit getan und wird erneuert.
Passend, kontrastierend oder zurückhaltend
Farbentscheidungen an einem Naked Bike wirken meist dann stimmig, wenn sie etwas aufgreifen, das schon vorhanden ist. Betrachten Sie die Monster 1200 S aus ein paar Schritten Entfernung und notieren Sie die Akzente: Rahmen, Räder, Bremssättel, Nähte am Sitz, Grafiken am Tank. Ein Einsatz, der eine davon wiederholt, wirkt geplant, während eine zusätzliche Farbe eher zufällig erscheint. Schwarz und Silber sind die zurückhaltenden Optionen für alle, die Schutz ohne Kommentar möchten. Rot passt natürlich zu einer Ducati; Gold und Blau sind Aussagen und brauchen anderswo am Motorrad einen Partner, um beabsichtigt zu wirken. Denken Sie auch an den Verschleiß. Ein Sturz zerkratzt jedes Pad, und auf einem eloxierten Einsatz legt ein tiefer Kratzer das blanke Metall frei, was auf dunklen Farben stärker auffällt als auf Silber. Da die Pads paarweise kommen, gibt ein Ersatzpaar beiden Seiten des Motorrads wieder dasselbe frische Erscheinungsbild.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Accossato führt den TP080 für die Monster 1200 S in zwei getrennten Zeilen, eine für 2014 bis 2016 und eine für 2017 und 2018, und beide sind hier verlinkt. Bei manchen Motorrädern muss laut Accossato die Verkleidung gebohrt werden, bevor seine Sturzpads montiert werden können; die Liste nennt sie nicht, fragen Sie uns deshalb vor der Bestellung, ob das bei Ihrer Monster 1200 S zutrifft. Für das Motorrad existieren zwei weitere Accossato-Schutzteile: die vorderen Achsprotektoren PF05 für 2014 bis 2018 und die hinteren PP069 für 2014 bis 2016. Straßenzulassung
Weder eine deutsche ABE noch ein Prüfdokument für den TP080 ist uns bekannt, deshalb bieten wir die Pads für Motorsport und Wettbewerb an.
