2013 feierte Ducati zwanzig Jahre Monster, und die Monster 796 gehörte zu den Motorrädern, die eine Anniversario-Ausgabe erhielten. Der Anlass sagte viel über das Modell: ein luftgekühlter Zweiventil-Zweizylinder, ein Gitterrohrrahmen und die vertraute Tankform, jene Formel, die die erste Monster 1993 erfolgreich gemacht hatte. Viele 796 werden noch täglich gefahren, und nicht alle von ihnen haben eine Garage, in die sie heimkommen. Accossato führt seinen hinteren Behälterdeckel TS012 für die Monster 796 von 2010 bis 2015; er ist aus Aluminium CNC-gefräst und wird in sieben eloxierten Farben angeboten.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Accossato fertigt den TS012 auf CNC-Maschinen aus Aluminium und veredelt ihn durch Eloxieren, das dem Deckel seine Farbe gibt: silber, schwarz, rot, gold, orange, grün oder blau. Er ist für den originalen hinteren Behälter der gelisteten Motorräder gemacht, sodass die Monster 796 ihren serienmäßigen hinteren Hauptbremszylinder und ihre Leitung behält. An einem Motorrad dieses Alters kann die Dichtung oder Membran unter dem alten Deckel durchaus hart geworden sein; prüfen Sie sie beim Tausch und ersetzen Sie sie bei Bedarf.
Das ganze Jahr draußen abgestellt
Nicht jede Monster 796 hat eine Garage; viele verbringen ihre Nächte am Straßenrand. Sonne, Regen und Frost setzen Gummi und Kunststoff zu, und die Teile rund um die Hinterradbremse sind keine Ausnahme: Die Membran unter dem Deckel kann hart werden, und ein Deckel, der nicht mehr gut schließt, lässt Feuchtigkeit an eine Flüssigkeit, die sie bereitwillig aufnimmt. Eine gute Abdeckplane hilft, und ein regelmäßiger Blick ebenso. Prüfen Sie bei aufrecht stehendem Motorrad, ob die Flüssigkeit im markierten Bereich steht und hell statt braun aussieht; ist das Datum des letzten Wechsels unbekannt, gehen Sie davon aus, dass er fällig ist, und lassen Sie sie so erneuern, wie es die Bedienungsanleitung vorschreibt. Wenn der TS012 montiert wird, erneuern Sie zugleich eine müde Membran, wählen Sie einen trockenen Tag, legen Sie ein Tuch über Lack und Kunststoffteile in der Nähe und lassen Sie den Behälter so kurz wie möglich offen. Spülen Sie jeden Tropfen sofort mit Wasser ab. Ziehen Sie den Deckel behutsam an und betätigen Sie vor der nächsten Fahrt mehrmals das Pedal.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Die Anwendungsliste von Accossato gibt den TS012 für die Monster 796 von 2010 bis 2015 an, einschließlich der ABS-Versionen von 2011 bis 2013 und der Anniversario von 2013, mit und ohne ABS. Derselbe Deckel ist bei Inter-Pace für die Hypermotard 939, die Desert X und die Aprilia Dorsoduro 1200 katalogisiert.
