Kawasakis Versys 1000 S ist dafür gebaut, lange Strecken kurz erscheinen zu lassen: ein hoher Vierzylinder-Tourer mit großzügiger Verkleidung und aufrechter Sitzposition. Viele Besitzer, die es auf einer Rennstrecke versuchen, bringen sie nicht auf einem Anhänger mit. Sie fahren hin, manchmal stundenlang, und der Trackday wird zu einem Halt auf einer längeren Reise. Das ändert, wie der Kraftstoff geplant werden sollte. Für die Versys 1000 S von 2021 bis 2024 baut Accossato den FC126, einen Tankdeckel mit Schnellverschluss, vollständig aus Aluminium gefräst, dessen schließende Klinke einen Stift in einer Farbe Ihrer Wahl trägt.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Accossato schneidet den kompletten FC126 auf CNC-Maschinen aus Aluminium und bewertet das Ergebnis als robust und langlebig. Die Form ist ein eigener Entwurf und keine Kopie des Kawasaki-Teils. Öffnen und Schließen hängen an einer schnell schließenden Klinke, und an dieser Klinke zeigt sich auch Ihre Farbwahl, mit sechs Stiften im Angebot vom zurückhaltenden Schwarz bis zum hellen Gold. An einer Versys 1000 S, deren Deckel an einem Streckentag zweimal gewechselt wird, hilft es, dass sich eine beschädigte Klinke einzeln kaufen lässt, während der Deckel im Dienst bleibt.
Mit leichtem Tank ankommen
Wird die Versys 1000 S zur Strecke gefahren, kommt sie mit ihrem Originaldeckel auf dem Tank an, denn dieser ist der für die Straße gedachte. Die eigentliche Frage ist, wie viel Kraftstoff darunter steht. Ein randvoller Tank macht den Wechsel im Fahrerlager unordentlicher als nötig, weil der Kraftstoff direkt unter der Öffnung steht, sobald der Originaldeckel ab ist. Viele Fahrer planen deshalb den letzten Tankstopp auf der Straße so, dass der Tank bei der Ankunft weit unten steht, aber nie so weit, dass eine Schlange am Tor zur Sorge wird. Nach dem Abstellen ausschalten, das Motorrad auf einen Ständer stellen und den Motor abkühlen lassen, während Sie sich anmelden, die Fahrerbesprechung besuchen und den Lederanzug anziehen. Reinigen Sie dann rund um den Einfüllstutzen, nehmen Sie den Originaldeckel ab, montieren Sie den FC126 und prüfen Sie, ob er ringsum gleichmäßig aufliegt. Der Kraftstoff für die Turns des Tages kommt aus einem Kanister, langsam eingefüllt bei abgestelltem Motor. Am Abend dreht sich die Reihenfolge um, und die erste Tankstelle auf dem Heimweg füllt den Tank wieder.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Accossato gibt dem FC126 an diesem Motorrad einen einzigen Eintrag, die Versys 1000 S von 2021 bis 2024. Bei Inter-Pace ist derselbe Deckel außerdem für die Versys 1000 SE, für die normale Versys 1000 und für die Ninja 1000 SX verzeichnet. Trägt Ihre Versys 1000 S ein Modelljahr außerhalb dieser Spanne, oder sind Sie sich nicht sicher, welche Version Sie besitzen, gleichen Sie die Angaben vor der Bestellung mit der Anwendungsliste von Accossato ab.
Straßenzulassung
Für den FC126 sind weder eine deutsche ABE noch ein Teilegutachten verzeichnet, wir verkaufen ihn deshalb für den Streckeneinsatz. Die Versys 1000 S verlässt das Werk mit einem Tankdeckel, der sich normalerweise mit dem Zündschlüssel öffnen lässt, und für jeden Kilometer auf öffentlichen Straßen gehört dieser Originaldeckel auf den Tank.
