Die Niken teilt ihre Grundidee, zwei sich neigende Räder vorn, mit Yamahas dreirädrigen Tricity-Rollern, und manche Fahrer kommen genau aus dieser Richtung zu ihr. Für sie ist die größte Umstellung nicht die Größe der Maschine, sondern der Hebel unter der linken Hand: Am Roller betätigt er eine Bremse, an der Niken eine Kupplung. Der Accossato ESY688 ist ein CNC-gefräster Aluminium-Kupplungshebel für die Niken von 2019 und 2020, mit einem Griffweiten-Einsteller, der die Kupplung leichter auffindbar und kontrollierbar macht, während alte Gewohnheiten ersetzt werden.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Accossato fräst den ESY688 aus Aluminium und eloxiert ihn anschließend. Dort, wo der Hebel auf das Motorrad trifft, an der Nabe mit Drehpunkt und Einsteller, ist die Oberfläche immer schwarz. Das Blatt, der Teil, den Ihre Finger berühren, ist in der Farbe Ihrer Wahl eloxiert. Dazwischen gibt es kein Gelenk: Der ESY688 ist ein starrer Hebel aus einem durchgehenden Stück, sodass der Weg, den Sie spüren, der Weg der Kupplung ist und nichts anderes. Eloxiertes Aluminium verträgt auch ständiges Anfassen gut, da die farbige Schicht Teil des Metalls ist und keine Beschichtung darauf.
Vom Roller kommend
Wer vom Roller auf ein Motorrad mit Schaltgetriebe umsteigt, erzählt oft von denselben ersten Tagen. Die linke Hand will bremsen, der rechte Fuß vergisst, dass er ein Pedal zu bedienen hat, und das Anfahren verlangt eine Abfolge von Bewegungen, die von Grund auf gelernt werden muss. Der Kupplungshebel steht im Mittelpunkt dieser Abfolge, und ein gut erreichbarer Hebel verkürzt das Lernen. Stellen Sie den ESY688 so nah ein, dass Ihre Finger bei jedem Halt auf ihm ruhen können, damit das Ziehen zum Reflex wird statt zur Suche. Das lange Blatt verringert den Kraftaufwand, was hilft, solange sich die Hand noch daran gewöhnt, die Kupplung an Ampeln gezogen zu halten. Üben Sie dann den Schleifpunkt an einem ruhigen Ort: Rollen Sie nur mit der Kupplung an, halten Sie mit den Bremsen an und wiederholen Sie das, bis die linke Hand ohne bewusstes Nachdenken arbeitet. Nach ein paar Wochen ist der Hebel einfach dort, wo Ihre Finger ihn erwarten, und die Niken bedient sich wie jedes andere Motorrad, so wenig sie auch wie eines aussieht.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Accossato führt den ESY688 für die Niken, Modellcode MXT 850, von 2019 bis 2020. Er tritt an die Stelle des originalen Kupplungshebels an Yamahas Aufnahme. Rechts am Lenker ist der Bremshebel EDF016 für dieselben Niken-Jahre gelistet, sodass sich das Paar in einer Farbe bestellen lässt. Modelljahre der Niken außerhalb von 2019 und 2020 deckt dieser Eintrag nicht ab.
Straßenzulassung
Dieser Kupplungshebel wird für den Rennstreckeneinsatz verkauft, weil für ihn keine deutsche ABE dokumentiert ist.
