Sturzschutz an einem Sportmotorrad ist meist eine Sammlung kleiner Teile: Rahmenprotektoren, Achsprotektoren, Lenkerendengewichte, vielleicht ein Hebelschutz. Jedes davon deckt einen anderen Berührungspunkt ab, wenn eine GSX-R750 zu Boden geht. Der Accossato LV022 fügt diesem Bild ein weiteres Teil hinzu. Er ist ein Klapp-Bremshebel mit integriertem Einsteller für den originalen Radial-Bremszylinder der GSX-R750, gelistet von 2004 bis 2017, mit einer schwarzen Basis und einem farbigen Blatt, das an seinem Gelenk wegklappen kann.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Accossato beschreibt den LV022 als Klapp-Bremshebel mit integriertem Einsteller. Über diese Formulierung hinaus haben wir keine Details zum Einsteller, und wir erfinden auch keine. Der Aufbau folgt Accossatos Klapphebeln: eine schwarze Basis am Drehpunkt des Bremszylinders und ein Hebelblatt in der Farbe Ihrer Wahl, so verbunden, dass das Blatt wegklappen kann. Beide Teile werden auf CNC-Maschinen aus Aluminium gefräst und eloxiert. Das Blatt wird in der Standardlänge gefertigt und lässt sich mit der RST-Erleichterungsöffnung oder als geschlossenes NRST-Blatt bestellen.
Protektoren, Lenkerenden und ein Gelenk
Wenn ein Motorrad fällt, landet es auf dem, was am weitesten absteht: dem Lenkerende, der Hebelspitze, einer Fußraste, der breitesten Stelle der Verkleidung. Protektoren und Lenkerendengewichte sollen den ersten Kontakt aufnehmen und das Gewicht des Motorrads von empfindlicheren Teilen fernhalten. Ob das gelingt, hängt von Untergrund, Tempo und Winkel ab, und keines dieser Teile kann etwas versprechen. Der Bremshebel sitzt nahe am Lenkerende, daher berühren bei vielen Stürzen beide innerhalb eines Sekundenbruchteils den Boden. Ein Klappblatt ergänzt diese Anordnung. Wird der Hebel getroffen, kann er aus dem Weg klappen, statt zu brechen, was die Gefahr verringert, mit ein wenig Lack auch gleich den Vorderradbremshebel zu verlieren. An einer GSX-R750, die auf der Rennstrecke gefahren wird, kann diese Kombination darüber entscheiden, ob das Motorrad zur nächsten Session wieder hinausfährt. Prüfen Sie nach jedem Sturz den Schutz als Ganzes, Protektoren und Lenkerenden eingeschlossen, und ersetzen Sie alles, was einen harten Schlag abbekommen hat, bevor Sie ihm wieder vertrauen.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Accossato führt den LV022 für die GSX-R750 von 2004 bis 2017 und gibt den originalen Radial-Bremszylinder an. Der andere Klapp-Bremshebel für dieses Motorrad ist der LV020, gelistet für dieselben Jahre.
