Ein Bremshebel hat zwei Maße, auf die es ankommt: wie weit er vom Griff absteht und wie weit er sich an den Fingern entlangzieht. An der BMW S1000RR lässt der Accossato EDF022 Sie beides selbst festlegen. Der Abstand zum Griff wird direkt am Hebel eingestellt, und das Hebelblatt gibt es in kurzer, Standard- und langer Ausführung. Gefräst wird er aus Aluminium im Accossato-Werk bei Turin, montiert wird er am originalen BMW-Bremszylinder der RR, die Accossato für die Modelljahre 2009 bis 2019 aufführt.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Accossato fräst den EDF022 auf CNC-Maschinen aus einem massiven Aluminiumrohling, statt ihn zu gießen. Daher die scharf gezogenen Kanten und der gleichmäßige Querschnitt vom Drehpunkt bis zur Spitze. Die Nabe, die Lagerbohrung und Einsteller trägt, ist immer schwarz eloxiert. Nur das Hebelblatt bekommt die gewählte Farbe: Das Teil direkt neben Bremszylinder und Schaltereinheit bleibt unauffällig, die Farbe sitzt dort, wo man sie sieht. Ein Gelenk im Blatt gibt es nicht. Der EDF022 ist ein starrer Hebel, ein Stück von der Nabe bis zur Spitze, ohne Gelenk, das über die Jahre Spiel bekommen könnte.
Die richtige Hebellänge
Die drei Längen verändern, wie der Hebel arbeitet, nicht nur, wie er aussieht. Das kurze Blatt ist für das Bremsen mit zwei Fingern gemacht, während die anderen beiden den Gasgriff umschließen. Weil es früh endet, kann es Ring- und kleinen Finger bei voll gezogenem Hebel nicht am Griff einklemmen. Das Standardblatt kommt dem originalen BMW-Hebel am nächsten und ist die naheliegende Wahl für gemischten Straßenbetrieb. Das lange Blatt bietet Platz für vier Finger und mehr Hebelwirkung an der Spitze, passend für alle, die eine harte Bremsung mit der ganzen Hand fahren. Für eine S1000RR, die überwiegend auf der Rennstrecke läuft, ist kurz die übliche Wahl, für die Straße ist Standard die sichere. Nicht jede Farbe gibt es in jeder Länge: Schwarz und Rot existieren nur als Standardhebel.
Griffweite einstellen
Der Einsteller sitzt nahe am Drehpunkt. So lässt sich das Blatt für kleinere Hände näher heranholen oder für dickere Handschuhe weiter nach außen stellen. Stellen Sie ihn mit Ihren üblichen Motorradhandschuhen bei aufrecht stehendem Motorrad ein: Der Hebel sollte die Finger im ersten Gelenk treffen, ohne dass das Handgelenk nach unten abknickt. Prüfen Sie nach dem Einbau, ob das Bremslicht angeht, sobald sich der Hebel bewegt, und ob etwas Leerweg bleibt, bevor die Beläge greifen, wie nach jedem Hebelwechsel.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Accossato führt den EDF022 für die S1000RR von 2009 bis 2019. Das umfasst die erste RR von 2009 bis 2014 und die überarbeitete Version ab 2015. Im Modelljahr 2019 kam zugleich die komplett neue RR, deshalb vergleichen Sie bei einer 2019er Maschine vor der Bestellung Ihren Originalhebel und Bremszylinder mit den Produktfotos. Für die Kupplungsseite der Modelle 2015 bis 2019 ist der passende Accossato-Hebel der ESB22H.
Straßenzulassung
Für diesen Hebel ist keine deutsche Allgemeine Betriebserlaubnis (ABE) dokumentiert. Wir verkaufen ihn deshalb für den Einsatz auf der Rennstrecke.
