Die F 800 GS Adventure ist die Langstreckenversion von BMWs mittelgroßer GS, mit größerem Tank, mehr Windschutz und einer Ausstattung, die eher nach einer Reise als nach einem Nachmittag aussieht. Reisen dieser Art führen früher oder später auf Schotterstraßen, und Schotterstraßen sind oft zu einem Waschbrett ausgefahren, das das Motorrad und alles daran durchschüttelt. Für die F 800 GS Adventure von 2013 bis 2018 liefert Accossato den EDB001: einen aus Aluminium gefrästen Handbremshebel, dessen Abstand zum Griff Sie einstellen können.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Wellblechpisten finden jedes lose Teil an einem Motorrad, und ein Klapphebel hat eines mehr als ein starrer. Der EDB001 ist ein einziges starres Stück von seiner schwarzen Nabe bis zur Spitze des Blatts, auf seiner Länge gibt es also nichts, das über Tausende Kilometer rauer Piste klappern oder sich lockern könnte. Accossato fräst ihn auf CNC-Maschinen aus Aluminium, was das Profil gleichmäßig hält, und eloxiert ihn anschließend: schwarz an der Nabe, die Lagerbohrung und Griffweiteneinsteller enthält, und in der Farbe Ihrer Wahl am Blatt.
Waschbrett-Schotter
Auf einer Wellblechpiste bleibt das Vorderrad nicht in ständigem Kontakt mit dem Boden. Es springt von einer Rippe zur nächsten, und bei manchen Geschwindigkeiten berührt es den Boden einen überraschend großen Teil der Zeit kaum. Bremsen ist dort eine eigene Fertigkeit. Greifen Sie in den Hebel, während das Rad entlastet ist, kann es für einen Augenblick blockieren oder das ABS auf den Plan rufen, sofern Ihr Motorrad eines hat, und das Motorrad wird nervös, gerade wenn Sie es ruhig haben wollen. Besser ist es, vor Beginn der Wellen langsamer zu werden und, wenn Sie darauf bremsen müssen, leicht und gleichmäßig zu drücken und die Hinterradbremse mehr Arbeit übernehmen zu lassen. Stehend auf den Rasten, mit lockeren Armen und einem Motorrad, das sich frei unter Ihnen bewegt, brauchen Sie trotzdem ein oder zwei Finger am Vorderradbremshebel, ohne den Griff zu umklammern. Stellen Sie die Griffweite des EDB001 für Ihre Offroad-Handschuhe und eine stehende Position auf der F 800 GS Adventure ein, dann bleibt das Blatt dort, wo Ihre Finger sind, wie stark der Lenker auch schüttelt.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Der EDB001 passt an die F 800 GS Adventure von ihrer Einführung zum Modelljahr 2013 bis 2018 und ersetzt BMWs Bremshebel am originalen Bremszylinder. Accossatos eigene Liste gibt für die Adventure einen längeren Zeitraum an, als BMW sie tatsächlich gebaut hat, deshalb beschränkt sich dieses Produkt auf die tatsächliche Produktionszeit. Accossato fertigt außerdem den Kupplungshebel ESB008 für dieselben Motorräder von 2013 bis 2018, auf derselben schwarzen Nabe und in denselben Farben, falls die linke Seite dazu passen soll.
Straßenzulassung
Für diesen Bremshebel ist keine deutsche ABE dokumentiert; entsprechend verkaufen wir ihn für den Einsatz auf der Rennstrecke.
